Attendee Demographics

Decennial 2020 will bring together multiple healthcare agencies to celebrate 60 years of accomplishments in the fight against healthcare‐associated infections and highlight the innovations and research that will define the field of infection prevention in the coming decade.

Renowned physicians, scientists, researchers, nurses, and other opinion leaders in healthcare infection prevention, antibiotic stewardship and management, patient and healthcare worker safety, and hospital and community‐based epidemiology from across the globe are expected to help commemorate this historic conference, which occurs at a crucial time in our national and global dialogue on the urgent need to improve patient safety and healthcare quality. In addition, both the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) partnered with SHEA and CDC to development a robust, innovative, and enlightening scientific program for Decennial 2020.

The Decennial audience, made up of the individuals at the front lines of research and practice in the prevention efforts of infectious diseases and healthcare improvement, would value your perspectives on healthcare reform, public health, and quality improvement initiatives that will affect patient care and global health for the future. Below you will find additional historical information on previous SHEA Spring Conference and our past Decennial 2010.
